Africa Revival Foundation
Who We Are and What We Do
At the Africa Revival Foundation (ARF), we strive to build social cohesion and solidarity between locals and refugees in South Africa. Coming from different social, economic, and cultural backgrounds, we created the Africa Revival Foundation to unite in the fight against poverty, unemployment, and xenophobia. We envision a socially and economically inclusive African society without hunger, poverty, racism, and xenophobia.
Our Projects
Making a difference in local communities
Feeding the Residents of Capricorn
Before becoming the Africa Revival Foundation, the organization was called the Africa Renewal Foundation. Based in Capricorn, the community organization initially focussed on providing nutrition for children by establishing a soup kitchen and preventing unhealthy activities such as substance abuse and underage sex by introducing youths to cross-cultural and athletic activities. Today, the ARF continues to provide these services in Capricorn.
Providing Legal Support for Refugees
The Africa Revival Foundation began when 9 refugees were unfairly dismissed from their jobs and decided to take legal action to receive compensation and justice. As a result, the ARF started the Refugee Legal Assistance Project to protect the legal rights of refugee workers.
